The agent of Porto star Alex Telles is confident the left-back has the potential to join Chelsea either ‘this season or the next’.

Arsenal will only sell Alexis Sanchez on two conditions

Telles, 24, completed a move to Porto last summer, and made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Primeira Liga outfit over the course of the 2016/17 campaign, but is being heavily linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Reports suggest the Blues are eyeing a move for Telles in the coming months, as they consider alternatives to Juventus full-back Alex Sandro, and the Brazilian’s agent has fueled the rumours.

‘For now, we have nothing. Not from Chelsea. Neither me nor the player received any contact from any English club but it can happen because the market opens tomorrow,’ Fernando Otto told Sport Witness.

‘When he went to Galatasaray, we had an offer from Chelsea for Alex. But at the time, we had already confirmed a pre-contract with Galatasaray, and we could not go back.

‘But there was information exchange, last year too. And I believe that maybe one day he will play for Chelsea.

‘I don’t know if it’s going to be this season or the next. But I feel like one day he can play for Chelsea.’
