Alexis Sanchez worried Arsenal fans with an injury update moments after Chile’s 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the Confederations Cup on Sunday night.
The 28-year-old did not start the match in Moscow but played a major role in Juan Antonio Pizzi’s men securing the group-stage win after coming off the bench in the 58th minute.
Sanchez, who replaced Edson Puch just after the break, provided a tantalising cross which Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal headed home to put Chile 1-0 in front with just under ten minutes remaining.
The Arsenal forward also set up Eduardo Vargas’ goal with a brilliant run in the 90th minute which put Chile out of sight at the death.

However, it wasn’t all good news for Sanchez as he made clear following his side’s impressive win in the tournament.
Sanchez shared a photograph of his swollen ankle which prevented the Gunners attacker from starting the match at the Otkrytiye Arena.
