Antoine Griezmann predicts that Gianluigi Buffon will beat Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to win the Ballon d’Or next year.
The 39-year-old has enjoyed another super season with Juventus and is on course to win the treble for the first time in his career.
Buffon helped guide Juventus to victory over Lazio in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday evening, while a win over Crotone on Sunday will secure the goalkeeper’s eighth Serie A title.
Juventus will also play Real Madrid in the Champions League final on June 3 and Griezmann believes Buffon will end Messi and Ronaldo’s dominance of the Ballon d’Or by completing the treble in Cardiff.

‘Juventus will win the Champions League and therefore Gigi Buffon the Ballon d’Or,’ the Atletico Madrid forward told Cadena SER’s El Larguero.
Griezmann has also reiterated that he is happy to stay at Atletico following Manchester United’s desire to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
‘I am very comfortable here and now have to meet my representative with Miguel Angel Gil Marin and see what happens,’ he said.
