The France international is Arsenal’s club-record having joined in a £52 million deal from Lyon last week.

Lucas Perez, a £17m signing from Deportivo La Coruna last summer, wore the club’s No.9 shirt last season.

The 26-year-old is currently with his new team-mates in Australia for Arsenal’s pre-season tour, and Wenger has confirmed that the striker will play some part in their first game against Sydney FC on July 13.

‘Lacazette will make his debut here,’ said Wenger.

‘On Thursday he will certainly play a part in the game and the other game as well, he will take part in that game.’
