Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has dropped the biggest hint yet that he’s set to continue in north London by confirming he’s working on the club’s tranfser business for next season.
Wenger, 66, is out of contract at the end of the season and a large portion of the club’s support have urged the Frenchman to step aside at the end of the campaign.
However, the club have offered Wenger a new two-year deal and there’s some suggestion that the Arsenal boss has already signed the contract.
The speculation, though, continues but Wenger has dropped a heavy hint he’s staying with the Gunners by revealing he’s working on signing players.
‘Yes, of course,’ said Wenger, when asked if he was planning for the club’s future.
‘I work until the last day of the season for the present and future.
‘Transfer targets are the future of the club and are very important.
‘That (my future) is secondary, what is important is the future of the club.’
