Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is reportedly furious as his club have had a third transfer offer for Alex Sandro worth around £73million rejected by Juventus.
The Brazil international has been a priority target for the Blues for much of this summer, but Juve have remained determined not to sell after already losing two key defenders in Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves.
Sandro has shown himself to be one of the finest wing-backs in the game at the moment, and that is a position Conte has been keen to strengthen this summer.
Marcos Alonso shone in that role for Chelsea last season, but the club are now back in the Champions League and Conte feels he lacks the depth to be able to rotate more as will likely be required this season.
This has led to Chelsea pursuing Sandro for the last couple of months, but their hopes are surely over after Juventus turned down a staggering £73m for the 26-year-old, according to Calciomercato.
This bid included add-ons and bonuses, and would potentially have broken Chelsea’s transfer record, as well as making Sandro the most expensive defender of all time.

Chelsea have already made four signings this summer, bringing in Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata, but Conte is thought to want as many as three or four more.
Other wing-back targets include Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Cedric Soares, while midfield is also a priority with Danny Drinkwater rumoured to be on the agenda.
