Chelsea are ready to use Nemanja Matic as a makeweight in their deal to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus, according to reports.
The Brazilian is one of Antonio Conte’s priority targets but the Serie A champions are demanding a £65 million transfer fee.
The Evening Standard claims that Chelsea are wiling to capitalise on Juve’s interest in Matic and are ready to listen to offers for the midfielder.
Matic, who is wanted by Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, is valued at £40m by Chelsea and was targeted by Juve last summer.
The Serbian midfielder only has two years left on his current contract and is understood to be open to joining up with Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Conte, meanwhile, is looking to bolster his defensive options even further having already signed Antonio Rudiger from Roma for £34m last Sunday.
