Dani Alves tried convincing his Juventus team-mate Paulo Dybala to follow him to Manchester City, according to reports in Italy.
Pep Guardiola’s side are on the verge of signing the Brazilian defender after Juventus confirmed earlier this week that his contract will be terminated by mutual consent.
But Corriere dello Sport report that Alves has angered Juve’s hierarchy by his attempt to persuade Dybala to also make the move to City this summer.
Last week, Alves even went public with his attempt to force Dybala to leave the Serie A champions.
‘Dybala will do great things in the future,’ he said in an interview with Canais Esporte Interativo.
‘But I think that for him to realise his full potential, to test himself, one day, I don’t know when, he’ll have to leave Juventus.’

Dybala signed a new contract with Juve in April which keeps him tied to the club until 2022.
Earlier this month, reports claimed that Manchester United are targeting the Argentina international as an alternative to Gareth Bale.
