Manchester United star David De Gea has not told the club he wants to for Real Madrid this summer.
The Spanish international has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu and Madrid have made him their number one target ahead of Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois.
Madrid agreed a deal for De Gea in 2015 that would have seen Keylor Navas move to Old Trafford but the deal collapsed on deadline day after the La Liga giants failed to register the paperwork in time.
De Gea has a natural pull towards Madrid given he grew up there and his girlfriend also resides from the Spanish capital.
However, the Spaniard is not angling for a move to Madrid and, according to ESPN, they do not envisage the 26-year-old pushing for the move.
While Zinedine Zidane’s side are still expected to make a bid, United’s hand will be strengthened by De Gea’s silence.
