Jamie Carragher has revealed the only man on his mind was Jurgen Klopp when Thierry Henry put his hand on his thigh in the now famous exchange on TV.
The Sky Sports duo had just been told that Brendan Rodgers had been sacked by Liverpool when Henry turned to Carragher, a former Red himself, in shock and offered assurance with a comforting hand.

The moment has been immortalised by fans with football supporters recently celebrating the one year anniversary of the incident.
And now Carragher has lifted the lid on the exchange that followed, saying the only man he is was thinking of was the man who should and would eventually replace Rodgers, Klopp.
‘The one man who takes most credit and certainly should take most credit is Jurgen Klopp,’ Carragher told the Liverpool Echo.
‘Maybe the club also for going for Jurgen Klopp.
‘I said when Brendan Rodgers was sacked and Thierry Henry had his hand over my thigh, the only man Liverpool should be going for was Jurgen Klopp, he was the outstanding candidate and available.
‘There may have been some people at the time who thought Klopp was looking at teams closer to the top and winning the biggest trophies around because although Liverpool weren’t struggling we weren’t where we wanted to be – hence why Brendan Rodgers lost his job.’
