Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp lavished praise on Sadio Mane following his goal against Watford and likened the winger to Thierry Henry.
Jurgen Klopp’s men entered the break 2-1 down after a disappointing 45 minutes at Vicarage Road after goals from Stefano Okaka and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Mane, as he often was last season, was Liverpool’s brightest spark and he got the Reds back on level terms on the half-hour mark when he finished off a sweeping team move.
The Senegal forward took Emre Can’s pass in his stride and curled a lovely effort into the far corner and Redknapp says the goal had echoes of Arsenal legend Henry.
‘That’s reminiscent of Thierry Henry,’ said Redknapp.
‘It’s the way he opens his body up and slots it.’
