Manchester City are reportedly looking into signing Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele in this summer’s transfer window.
The France international has previously been linked as a £43million target for Chelsea, and it is thought that they still retain some interest in him as well this summer.
Recent reports have also been both clubs linked with Dembele as his future at Dortmund is thrown into some doubt, with speculation that Pep Guardiola and other club chiefs had even scheduled to meet the player in Manchester.
However, Dortmund are desperate not to sell the 20-year-old forward after just one season, which could force City to consider other options to strengthen their attack.
While a move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez looks increasingly likely for City, it may be that Guardiola won’t just settle for landing the Chile international as he plans a major revamp of his squad for next season.
According to RMC, City are keen on Coman even if Bayern remain determined to keep hold of him after finally signing him on a permanent deal from Juventus earlier in this transfer window.

The report suggests that the 21-year-old’s future is somewhat unclear for the moment, so City may sense they have a chance of luring him away from the Allianz Arena.
Coman only managed three goals and one assist last season as his form took a hit, so while Carlo Ancelotti supposedly personally rates him, Bayern could be persuaded to sell if the right offer comes in.
