Manchester United have confirmed Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli is on trial ahead of a possible to move to Old Trafford.
The 16-year-old starlet, currently turning out for Ituano in Brazil, has been on trial with the Red Devils previously and has been invited back ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Millen Baars, Aliou Badara Traore, Largie Ramazani and Theo Richardson have all joined United’s academy in recent weeks and Martinelli could be the next to follow.
The Premier League giants confirmed on their official website that the youngster took part in the Under 17 side’s 2-0 victory over Lincoln City on Wednesday evening.
Martinelli replaced Nishan Burkart in the 60th minute at Sincil Bank and United went on to win the friendly after goals from Baars and Brandon Williams.
