Super-agent Mino Raiola revealed on Monday night that his player had successfully gone under the knife and that the injury would not be ‘career-ending’.
Ibrahimovic injured ligaments in his knee during the Europa League tie against Anderlecht which sparked fears the 35-year-old’s playing career was over.
But the attacker has had surgery in America and took to Instagram to share a snap and assure his fans he was on the mend.
‘Fixed, done and stronger,’ he said.
‘Once again thank you for the support.
‘We will enjoy my game together soon.’
United missed Ibrahimovic over the weekend as they struggled to score against Swansea.
The Swans rescued a point late in the game after United went ahead thanks to a controversial penalty awarded for United.
Ibrahimovic is still United’s top goal scorer this season by some distance after racking up 28 goals in his debut campaign as a Red Devil.

United will go for silverware in the Europa League without their talisman as they prepare for the first leg of their semi-final tie against Celta Vigo on Thursday.
Ibrahimovic is expected to start rehab once his knee heals and is set to miss at least the rest of 2017 due to the injury.
