Manchester United are set to resume talks to sign Ivan Perisic this week, reports say.

Why no-one can stop the Premier League title from heading back to Manchester this season

Jose Mourinho has ordered Manchester United to make one more signing this summer after four big transfer incomings at Old Trafford.

Romelu Lukaku leads the spending in front of Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof who have also joined the Red Devils.

The Manchester Evening News suggest United will go all out to please Mourinho and will return to the negotiating table with Inter for Perisic.

Mourinho has already insisted publicly that he wants to add a winger and United aim to do just that.

If a suitable wide man cannot be found, Mourinho is open to a new full-back joining the club.

United are being heavily linked with Tottenham star Danny Rose who this week urged Spurs to sign players he did not have to ‘Google’.

Rose also insisted he must be handed a pay rise or he will leave the club. His comments have put United and Chelsea on red alert.

United are believed to have returned for Perisic after giving up on signing Real Madrid superstar, Gareth Bale.

Real dismissed Mourinho’s attempts to unsettle the Welshman before the Super Cup final and Bale himself has insisted he has no desire to leave the La Liga champions.

Inter refuse to budge on their request for striker Anthony Martial to be included in the deal that would send Perisic to Old Trafford.

Martial is not interested in a summer move while United are not keen to part ways with an expensive purchase, especially when the Frenchman has many years ahead of him.

United will resume talks with Inter this week and are hopeful an agreement can reached independent of the Italian’s desire to sign Martial.
