Manchester United have made an official £71million bid for Kylian Mbappe but Monaco value him significantly higher than that, according to reports.
The Red Devils are desperate to sign the talented French teenager, who has taken the Champions League by storm this season, and Jose Mourinho is pushing hard for a mega money deal.
Mbappe has scored 24 goals in just 38 matches since bursting onto the scene at the Ligue 1 club, having started 14 of those games on the bench.
A bidding war is expected to escalate around Europe and United have got things underway with a huge £71m offer.
But Monaco rejected the offer immediately and have whacked an £118m price tag on his head, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
