Neymar’s future has been the subject of intense speculation this week as reports claimed he had agreed a world-record £197million move to the Parc des Princes in a shock deal.

Barca themselves have ruled out selling the 25-year-old, with club president Josep Bartomeu insisting today that any deal was ‘impossible’ and that the player is ‘not on the market’.

Still, speaking about the prospect of his fellow countryman joining him in Paris, the defender admitted it would be a huge transfer for the club.

‘I don’t know if he warned PSG’s Brazilians,’ he told Le Parisien. ‘In any case, he hasn’t told me!
